New season! At last…

Filed under: Shop Front — vicki @ 8:45 pm

Well, it’s been a while since we updated the website because the Webmaster has been hard at it upgrading us behind the scenes. It has been a huge job but means that we should be able to update more often and get more products on more quickly.

This cardi is Hedda from Rowan’s Winter Solace book. It’s knitted in the new Alpaca Cotton which is fantastic to knit with and goes such a long way. The cardigan knits from 4 balls to 5 for most sizes. The colours are all shades of grey and brown. Beautiful yarn.

The rest of the window is a fantastic Noro sweater in Silk Garden Sock yarn based on a pattern in Noro Flowers book but with slight modifications to the sleeves to make them a bit longer. You can also see a little stripey cardigan in the bottom right which is knitted in Adriafil KnitCol. It’s a pure wool dk which gives a fairisle effect. It’s been popular with grown-ups as well as kids!

The AMy Butler talk a couple of weeks ago was brilliant and I will blog about it as soon as her husband sends me some pics to use. I forgot my camera but he has some good shots! You can see Amy’s ready made bags in the window. They are incredibly tempting!

Amy Butler comes to Malvern!

Filed under: General — vicki @ 1:18 pm

Yes, Amy must have had a great time last year because she is visiting us again on Monday 17th August! She is giving a talk at the Abbey Hotel at 7pm and will be doing a book signing. Her talk will be different from last year, we have been told, and really whatever she says is inspirational!

We will be there with Amy’s new collection of ready made bags and her books, patterns and fabrics all of which will be available to buy. There will be special discounts!

All in all there is no better way to spend next Monday evening. Tickets are still available from the Knitting Parlour or you can call to reserve one and pay on the door.
